Eat your vegetables!! We begin hearing that from our parents, and now we hear it from just about every media outlet on the planet.

Incorporating more green and brightly colored plant foods into our nutrition is sound advice. Fruits and vegetables are an integral part of a healthier lifestyle. The less prepackaged food-like substances we consume, the better chance our bodies have to function at an optimal level. Trouble is -- many of us don't know how to make veggies taste great, and so we usually have green stuff tucked away and rotting in the back of the fridge.

Well fret no more. We at Shana Ross Fitness are thrilled to bring Ayurvedic chef Karuna Diedericks to the studio kitchen for a two-hour class on how to prepare heavenly veggies.

Our Fall Menu will include:
  • Quinoa-Vegetable Pilaf
  • Lightly Spiced Butternut Squash
  • Kale-Waldorf Salad
  • Decadent Baked Apples
This will be a hands-on workshop where Chef Diedericks will show you how easy it can be to cook delicious dishes out of simple plant-based ingredients.
About Karuna Diedericks
A long-time chef, and graduate of the California College of Ayurveda, Karuna has a passion for food and an appreciation for quality plant-based ingredients. She is an expert of Ayurvedic nutrition, a 5000-year old science that matches food with body types to heal the underlying causes of disease. Karuna exudes joy in the kitchen, and thrives on helping her students and clients reach their health goals. She has taught classes at several locations in Greater Houston, including Whole Foods, Central Market and Sprouts. She is also well-known for her personal chef services.
